Upon Edison Chen nude picture scandal, Gillian Chung bravely steps forth to face the incident. But her “Naïve speech” had severe criticism. Some people point out that it was not as sincere as Edison Chen’s apology. Her appearance at a TVB program was received by thousands of complaints.

Gillian Chung’s manager Mani admitted that Gillian Chung will take a break after she finishes all her current work commitments. Yesterday afternoon, Gillian and Charlene set out on a trip. Gillian had to fulfill her duties at a Beijing trade fair. She had a tired face when the press was attempting to interview her. She kept her head down with a wooden expression. Fans shouted to her to forget the unhappy events but she did not respond to them.
Today at 6:15 PM, Twins were escorted by several assistant to the airport to prepare for the flight to Beijing. Gillian had her hair tied back. She could not cover up her tired expression even though she had large sunglasses. Her partner, Charlene did not fare any better. Charlene had “panda eyes” and looked more tired than Gillian. The duo attracted about 30 reporters. Charlene placed herself in front of Gillian the entire time to protect her. The two were expressionless. There were fans at the airport to cheer them on and the fan shouted out messages to Gillian to forget the unhappy incident. But she didn’t respond. She also didn’t respond to the reporters’ question about how her current mood was.
As Twins arrived at the passenger gate, it was chaotic. The airport personnel saw the crowd and allowed the duo to enter past the railings. But they walked past the workers’ entrance gate.
Generally speaking, the workers’ entrance gate is forbidden unless they accepted a request beforehand. After some research, the airport’s public relations officer responded and said they did not receive any requests to use the workers’ entrance gate by Twins. But the situation was chaotic, they were afraid the situation would turn dangerous and an accident may happen. They had to make a decision on the spot to allow them through the workers’ entrance gate.

Well i do admire her for speaking up at the press conference…not every artistes are willing to face it like that…It is definitely not easy for her now…she should really take some time off…

EEG organized her “naive & silly” speech & probably pressured her to continue performing..
hard to say what’s her own doing or EEG’s doing. this could be a pr to draw sympathy for her.
But i do feel bad for her being EEG’s puppet. she either has no control or no mind of her own.
She or EEG is a hypocrite for promoting her “virginal” image which turned out to be hypocritical, but the pics are all is said & done, she should chill out instead of getting stressed about it. Her career is on the line but hey, what doesn’t kill u only makes u stronger, learn from your mistakes. She could be forgiven but I just wouldn’t support EEG due to their criminal ties. I’m one to champion someone who comes up from the pit but not if you’re coming up from the pit with criminals.
It is so obvious that poor Gillian is being ‘controlled’ and ‘forced’ to carry out her pre-arranged committments. her company didn’t take any time out to consider how awkward and embarassed she would feel and still made Gillian to face the public; no matter how many are supporting her still, there are always ill meaning people around that really give her bad times, such a courageous work that Gillian is performing, all should only support her courage and do not ever forget, she is a performer and HK entertainment all commercialized, idol are manufactured, she is acting her part. Well done!
I think Gillian doesn’t need to apologize for the pictures, but she or her company should have apologized for falsely reporting the pictures were fake in the first place and wasted Police’s effort, and arrested innocent people…..
