Celebs lives depend alot on publicity, image, reputation etc. and media gossips. Whether they succeed or doom rely on the audience and the public, completely beyond the control of fans of their idols to be sympathetic for her shameful acts – not a good role model for the younger girls. It will somehow affect her future acting career. A heavy price to pay for being rich and famous, one has to be responsible for their own sins and not put blame on others. Before this scandal, Cecilia and Gillian were projected like innocent flawless celebs, that’s how they became famous and popular but after this saga, knowing that their private lives were worst than playgirls almost like porn stars (whether before marriage is another issue), can we expect the public to accept this type of behaviour, not the conservatives. They became famous overnight throughout the whole world for their ugliness. This is the reality of life, take it or leave it, they have no choice but to lie really low and dont expect the public to have pity on them. Men can fall in and out many times, it’s a win win situation for them, women being the weaker sex lose all the time where scandals are concerned. Good luck to them if they can survive this ordeal.

But the company is smart for continuing to use Ceci as the spokesperson. Hundreds of idiots would be talking about the commercial.
I feel weird with those comment that they are disgusting with her act whenever they see her. If you don’t see those picture at the first place, you won’t have such problem at all. So, this problem arise was due to your own curiosity,so you can only blame yourself for that.
As for whether she should apologize or not to anyone, that will depends on her opinion whether she have done any mistake or not. Basically, I think she have done nothing wrong that need to apologize to the the public as this is her own privacy and whether she need to apologize to her husband or not, it is none of our business also as this is between the two of them. Conflict started when all this unrelated third party people started to voice out their own opinion on something that they are not related and have no idea about the whole situation facing by her.

Seriously, I dont know much about HK stars as I am from other part of Asia. Hardly seen shows of Cecilia & Nicholas but more Twins’ singing, mostly from television. Always have the perception of HK stars being “quai quai” no hanky pankies until this scandal exploded like a bomb. Gillian is still young, she is more forgiveable – sorry not trying to take sides, Cecilia is married and a mother – the damage is more serious. Her father-in-law, Patrick Tse, has expressed in our local press that he is very disappointed & wanted his son to take a paternity test – meaning he doesnt trust her.

haha you really don’t know much at all. Not that anyone can blame you especially since you are from another part of Asia. anyway, Cecilia and Gillian are around the same age! Cecilia is 28 this year while Gillian turning 27 soon enough. They are just a year apart in age. As for who’s more “forgivable”, that’s highly debatable but if you noticed Gillian is ridiculed a lot more harshly as compared to Cecilia Cheung and this disparity can only be attributed to one reason: because people are mad she put up a very virginal show throughout her entire career prior to this scandal which can be evidenced very clearly in a couple of incidents. in particular a changing room incident back in late 2006 when she was snapped changing her clothes in a dressing room. she made a huge fuss back then and even got a whole army of hong kong artistes to support her cause against the invasion of privacy by the paparazzi and even said she did not know how to face her young fans. not to forget that she was so overly teary and dramatic back then, she made many eyes roll in disbelief over how affected she was. with the breakout of the sex scandal now, she appeared in public with a smiling face this time and continue to plunge straight back into work. it’s to be expected that people are labeling her as a total hypocrite and asking questions like what’s there to smile at this time and why is she plunging straight back into work when she said she did not know how to face her fans over some changing of clothing pictures back in late 06?

another note : the majority of hong kong stars don’t portray a “”quai quai”, no hanky pankies” image. if you want to know the truth, out of all the celebrities (Edison Chen himself, Bobo Chan, Cecilia Cheung, Rachel Ngan and the other 2 minor ex celebrities) involved in this scandal, even the rumored ones like Maggie Q, Amanda S, Jolin Tsai, Elva Hsiao, Joey Yung, Stephy Tang, Cherrie Ying and god knows how many others, NONE of them portrayed such an image except for one person – Gillian Chung.
Maybe that can help you better understand the hong kong entertainment scene and why Gillian Chung is being so harshly ridiculed. And trust me, if you think Cecilia Cheung got it bad so far, Gillian has got it far worse.
