Hong Kong News Agency: Since the break out of the recent Edison Chen sex scandal, Cecilia Cheung and husband Nicholas was revealed to have shifted out of their abode in their attempts to avoid harassment from the paparazzi. However, Nicholas Tse was yesterday spotted very publicly arriving in Beijing airport and soon later, at a promotion event held in Beijing which also involved the group Twins.
When Nicholas Tse touched down at the Beijing airport, he was accompanied by 4 assistants and did not reply to any questions asked by the Chinese reporters who were awaiting his arrival at the airport. However, the very prominent missing wedding ring on Nicholas’ left hand did not escape the notice of the reporters who were present at the scene. The missing wedding ring was in itself, more telling than any words about rift between Nicholas and Cecilia.
Nicholas Tse‘ original plan was to arrive in Beijing the day before yesterday. However, he suddenly changed his schedule and only travelled to Beijing yesterday. Clad in a white jacket and sporting a cap on his head, Nicholas and his 4 assistants arrived at the airport in Beijing at a very early 7.30 a.m in the morning. Upon arrival, Nicholas spotted the estimated 20 reporters who were awaiting his arrival but did not quicken his footsteps. Walking slowly and calmly towards the exit of the airport, he was asked by the reporters interviewing him if he had seen the sex scandal pictures of Cecilia and whether he had indeed divorced with Cecilia as heavily speculated and rumored but he did not answer any of the questions posed to him.
The corners of his mouth did however turn up in a smile that seemed like he was sneering at the questions posed to him and waved at the reporters before leaving the airport. From the time of his arrival at the airport to his departure from the airport, Nicholas was observed to have originally had both his hands placed in his pockets but when he used his hands to block off the wave of reporters who were pressing in too closely for comfort for him, it was immediately noticed that the wedding ring he always wore on his left hand was prominently missing.
The missing ring was a dead give-away that the marriage of Nicholas and Cecilia was most probably facing some sort of a crisis. Upon leaving the airport in the car that was arranged for him, Nicholas’ driver violated several traffic regulations and even beat the red light 5 times in his attempts to lose the reporters who had gave chase in their own vehicles.
Later, Nicholas appeared at the public promotion event he was in Beijing for and was asked by the reporters who were at the event to clarify if rumors of divorce between him and Cecilia were indeed true but he only deflected them with a very short reply that he and Cecilia were on good terms and that he was thankful for the public concern shown towards their marriage.
Earlier, there were reports that Nicholas had run into Edison who was arranged to be put up at the four seasons hotel under witness protection upon arrival in hong kong last week. It was by pure coincidence and perhaps a stroke of misfortune that Nicholas and Cecilia had earlier checked into the very same hotel in their attempts to escape from the paparazzi.
It was also said that even though there was a drastic change to the relationship between the couple after the advent of the sex scandal, in order to prevent complications, the couple had earlier agreed to both show as well as spread word to the outside world that the relationship between them had not changed. However, Nicholas seemed stuck on his insistence that the two of them sleep in separate rooms and had earlier requested for a suite with 2 bedrooms at the hotel they were staying temporally at. It was also reported that Cecilia had adopted a clinging on for dear life mentality when it came to her marriage and Nicholas.
In the reports, it was also mentioned that Nicholas had bumped into Edison at the Four Seasons hotel they were so coincidentally both residing in and had been so enraged at the sight of Edison that he was all prepared to raise his fists against his former friend. However, just as Nicholas was about to go forward and strike Edison, Cecilia encircled her arms around her husband’s waist to prevent him from attacking Edison and was witnessed to be crying uncontrollably. An otherwise inevitable fight between the 2 men was hence prevented by the intervention of the pitiful Cecilia. After the conflict between the 2 men died down, Edison was ushered back to his room by his bodyguards while Nicholas and Cecilia proceeded to check out of the Four Seasons hotel.
I didn’t even know that Cecilia and Nic were living in separate rooms albeit being in the same suite. I can understand why Cecilia might be breaking down over keeping their marriage intact. After all, they have Lucas to worry about now.
I hope everything continues to work out between them. No ring? nothing to look too much into to. Not all married men or women wear their wedding rings every single day.
There seems to be so many conflicting speculations flying around about the status of this couple’s relationship from all directions, it’s really confusing.
I don’t know about you, but I would like to see a photo of Nic’s ringless finger…if he really had pulled out his hand to shield himself like how the article stated, then surely one of the reporters would’ve taken a photo of it, but there’s no photo to prove that he really wasn’t wearing the ring, hence there’s no real proof to justify these new allegations.
Two of the most gorgeous men in HK entertainment fighting over a woman? that sounds like something out of a korean drama and something even the papers couldn’t make up. I wish i had been there, what a scene that would have been. I think Nic is the innoncent party in all of this and i think Edison deserved to get a punch from Nic if that was true. After all, this guy made a mockery out of his wife and perhaps have cheated on him with Cecilia at a time when they were supposed to be quite close. Pity there isn’t any pictures to go with this article!
JUust curious…did photo taken before Nic and Cecil got married? If so that perhaps Nic should have let it go…afterall he wasn’t a ‘mama’s boy’ image himself….What important now is their loyalty and comitment as of the day they said their vows as well to love each other sincerely…just let bygones be bygone….one never can change a history but can determine their future….
WHAT?! I wish that either the couple or the media would just make up their minds on whether or not the Nic and Cecilia are doing ok…it’s getting annoying! And that must show something that Nic requested a suite with two rooms…if that’s true, then there’s definately some problems.
I wish that Nic would’ve beat the crap out of Edison!! That would’ve been some news!!
But I really can’t blame Nic for being this confused. I mean, what do you choose? Stay with your supposedly unfaithful wife for your son, or leave her and let your baby live a life with divorced parents? That’s just the main factors, I don’t even want to know all of them!

any reason valuable such as: aggreement with sponsors, contract or whatever that he cannot wear his wedding band during that specific promotion. or he injured himself and is unable to fit his band on, just like at the promotions of Invisible Target. His hands always deep down in pockets when he walks, especially his left hand.
